By now everyone has come to accept that there’s a lot of dying on Game of Thrones. Like, a lot. If fans are smart, they wouldn’t get too attached to any one character because chances are they’re going to perish in some intense and gory fashion. While it may seem like the writers are just out to break hearts, there’s actually a method behind the murder madness.Â
A fan on Reddit exposed the genius way that so many characters come to their brutal ends. As the pattern proves, many characters are killed in an action comparable to their most memorable moments on the show. Remember when Roose Bolton stabbed Robb Stark? He was killed with a knife to the heart as well. Or when Olenna Tyrell poisoned Joffrey? She was later executed with poison. What about Ramsay Bolton’s habit of feeding people to his hounds? He then fell victim to the same murderous method.Â
Take a look at the mind-blowing examples below.
The list continues to grow as other fans leave examples of the pattern in the comments.Â
It appears that the GoT writers are awfully fond of this eye-for-an-eye form of vengeance. How did I not notice this before?!Â
