1. The dining center
I love a good home cooked meal, don’t get me wrong on that, but I do miss shamelessly eating cheese fries and cereal for dinner.
2. Living on my own
I actually really love living with my parents, but staying out till 4 am is a no go in my house. In college though, what mom and dad don’t know can’t hurt them…
3. Friends
Not seeing my friends everyday this summer like I did in school has left me dying to get back to having our crazy, fun times together.
4. Leaving my summer job
Working all summer is not the most entertaining activity in the world. Money is necessary for the school year, but not having to work for a while is such a great feeling!
5. Krispy Kreme
This makes me sound insane, but we don’t have one where I live and I am a sucker for a good glazed donut.
6. Having something to do on the weekends
Sometimes my weekends are a little lack luster at home. There is rarely a dull weekend at the ILSTU and could not be more thankful for that.
7. Not feeling stupid wearing my redbird gear
I love wearing my ISU gear, but sometimes when I’m just running to Walmart, I feel silly constantly repping the school I love. Wearing ISU tee’s in Normal just feels expected and right.
8. Meeting new people
I love to meet all different kinds of people, and ISU has provided me just that. I’m ready to get back and meet even more great people!
9. Homecoming
I cannot wait to tailgate and watch the Homecoming game!
10. Learning new things
I know it’s nerdy, but I’m at school to learn! I’ve beefed up my course load full of interesting classes and know I’m going to be experiencing and learning new things all year long.
11. Being with people who love ISU
If you haven’t realized it by now, I’ll be blunt, I freaking love ISU. This place is my home, and when I’m not there I’m constantly telling people that I love it, and they’re constantly rolling their eyes. Being back at ILSTU I get to share my love for this place with others!
12. Getting to see my girls at Her Campus!
From the second I joined Her Campus, all the girls writing for it were so kind and helpful! If you’re looking for a fun way to write and express yourself, come join us this fall! You will not be disappointed!
