In a heartwarming and inspirational interview with Glamour (seriously, this is a must-read for all the feminist feels), Blake Lively gushes about her witty husband, Ryan Reynolds. Blake, who is currently in Vancouver with Ryan and their daughters, Inez and James, while he films Deadpool 2, says that she loves him “most of the time,” but even more so when heâs tweeting hilarious tidbits about their little girls.
Â
âHe may as well work for the Enquirer. When he says âmy daughter,â heâs never, ever talking about her. Everything is a completely made-up scenario. Heâll run them by me sometimes just to make me laugh,â she says.
My daughter loves being buried up to her neck in sand at the beach. Her little face lights up when I come back to get her the next day.

Itâs not that she doesnât love Ryan all the time, but Blake says she hates when tabloids write stories about how perfect her life is, calling it “nonsense.” She finds that itâs better to veer somewhere in the middle; after all, thatâs what real relationships are like. “Thereâs never a time when Iâm like, ‘I donât really love you,'” she explains. “Still, in a sound bite? It can be eye-roll-y. I have to learn to stop being defensive.”
Blake adds that she and her husband know a thing or two about compromise, especially since they have agreed never to work at the same time. âI admire people who find that what fulfills them is their art or their work, but what fulfills both me and my husband is our family. Knowing that, everything else comes second.â
Unsurprisingly, Blake’s newest movie is about a relationship with an interesting and complicated dynamic. All I See Is You, the story of a blind woman who regains her sight and sees her marriage in a new light, comes out this Septemberâand until then, I’ll be dying over Ryan’s made-up tweets.
