Blac Chyna Speaks Out About Rob Kardashian Attacking Her on Social Media

Seven months after Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s breakup, things have only gotten uglier. Just last week, Rob posted explicit images of Chyna on Instagram and Twitter and ranted about how she cheated on him and only used him for fame. While Rob has a long history of problematic behavior toward women, this latest drama might lead to legal repercussions.

Blac Chyna sat down with Good Morning America on Monday to tell her side of the story.

“I was devastated, of course,” Chyna said. “I’m like, ‘How could somebody, like, post these pictures of me?’ This is a person that I trusted. I just felt, yeah, betrayed.” She also shot down rumors that she liked some of Rob’s explicit posts of her on Instagram, saying that she had his account blocked. When asked why she decided to take legal action, she told ABC News, “The moral of the story is, like, he doesn’t respect me, so if you can’t respect me, you have to respect the law.”

“In California, revenge porn is a crime, a civil wrong and a form of domestic abuse,” explained Blac Chyna’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, who’s known for representing high-profile clients like Kathy Griffin and Mischa Barton. Bloom confirmed that Blac Chyna will take legal action—a judge just granted her a temporary restraining order against Kardashian on Monday morning.

Bloom also drew an important distinction between the semi-nude photos Chyna has posted on social media in the past and the revenge porn images Rob shared without her consent. “Any explicit photos that she may have chosen to post in the past, that’s her choice. This is like saying that a woman can’t be raped if she previously chose to have sex with someone. It’s her body, it’s her choice, each and every time.” Posting them without her permission—and violating that choice—is punishable by up to six months in jail.

Rob’s social media rampage seems to have been caused by Blac Chyna sending him a video of her kissing another man. When asked why she did that, Chyna told ABC News that after months of him “poking” at her, she thought, “‘Maybe if I send this video to him, then he’ll just leave me alone.'” Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect, but through this ordeal, Chyna hopes to become an advocate for those who have had similar experiences. “I would like to just say something to all the women out there. You know, you’re not the only one that’s probably going through something,” Chyna said. “So I feel as though if one person speaks up, maybe it, hopefully, it will be a domino effect.”

Chyna also told ABC News that the Kardashians haven’t reached out to her or commented on the situation. Despite the animosity, she plans to continue sharing custody of eight-month-old Dream with Rob.

If there’s one thing we can take away from Rob and Chyna’s ongoing battle, it’s that slut shaming and revenge porn are never okay.
