The 9 Stages of Checking Finals Grades

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Akron chapter.

It’s time to see the results of finals week. Anxiety, fear, elation are all a part of what it takes to click through those online scores. We can relate.

1.    Remembrance

What was even ON that exam anyway?

2.    Hope

Oh yeah, I remember that one… I bet it went great!

3.    Avoidance

I don’t need to know right now anyway, it’s fine.

4.    Preparation

No matter what happens it will be okay. Everything will be okay.

5.    Fear

But if I failed, then no it is not okay.

6.    Action-taking

Okay so maybe I need to check the grade.

7.    Reluctance

Maybe I shouldn’t even check. It’ll only kill my vibe.

8.    Reality

Okay. This is my grade.

9.    Acceptance

It’s okay, I’m still super awesome anyway.
