With finals coming up, and our stress levels rising higher every day, chances are raiding the pantry for a snack is something we are all doing more often. And while eating is important, stuffing your face with oreos is probably not the best thing for your health. As a college student, I often struggle with eating healthy but staying on a budget. And  with finals coming up I find I have little time to fully prepare a meal. Luckily, I have attached easy recipes for snacks that you can take on the go during what seems to be the craziest week of your life.

  1. For your sweet tooth: Crackers with hazelnut chocolate + bananas. If you love chocolate, this is the snack for you. Spread hazelnut chocolate (like Nutella) on whole wheat crackers and add banana slices on top.  This is super easy to make before class and take it on the go!

  2. For your healthy side: Avocado toast. This is an easy snack to make between lunch and dinner, you just spread avocado on some whole wheat toast and you’re all set!  P.S. if you want to be super fancy you can also add cooked bacon, or an egg on top!

3. For when you’re on the go: Chopped fruit with seasoning. Summer is near which means fruit season is here! Cut your fruit to your liking and add some seasoning like Tajin (Mexican chili and lime seasoning), or you can always add lime and salt. I recommend adding Tajin on watermelon, mango, and cucumbers.

4. For when you want something a little more than a snack: Snack Wraps. These are super easy to make and will fill you up quicker than a snack will. You simply spread cream cheese over tortillas (whole grain if you’re wanting to be healthy), then layer on lettuce slices, turkey slices, and carrot slices. Roll the tortilla up and cut in half!

Happy snacking everyone!
