As I registered for classes for my SENIOR year (still can’t believe I am that old), I realized that I only have 1 year left. I only have a limited amount of time left to explore Boston, to take advantage of all BU has to offer, and only 1 year to fulfill all of the things I want to do before I graduate. This led to me creating a “BU Bucket List” of sorts, where I wrote down everything I wanted to do before I graduated. Being a transfer, I only get 2 years total to enjoy this school and this city. I am sharing the top ten experiences on my bucket list that I want to achieve in the 2017-2018 school year. Some I have already crossed off, but believe they are still worth mentioning because these are all experiences every BU student should have.
1. Spend a Warm Day on the BU Beach
Nothing beats laying in the sun on the beach! (Even if you are doing homework.)
2. Go to Tavern in the Square on Thirsty Thursday
There’s dancing, good vibes, and you always run into at least ten people you know.
3. Spend St. Patrick’s Day at an Irish Boston Bar
There are a million Irish bars in Boston, so you never run out of options!
4. Spend a Day Exploring the Entire City
We are in one of the best cities in America. Take advantage of it.
5. Go to a Hockey Game
Because a ridiculous portion of our tuition probably went towards building the amazing structure known as Agannis Arena, so go enjoy it.
6. Get a picture with Rhett (It’s harder than you think)
I STILL HAVE YET TO MEET RHETT. WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT.
7. Go to the Harvard/Yale Tailgate
It’s a day full of fun, music, and enjoying beautiful Cambridge.
8. Go to the Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll
Beacon Hill is so gorgeous. Plus, they have free food.
9. Do Rhett’s Challenge (Even if you can’t finish it all)
Personally, I may not ever try this in fear of throwing up. But you should!
10. Sing Karaoke at T’s Pub on a Tuesday
I still have yet to do this. One day, I will be courageous enough.
You only have 4 years, so make the most of it!
