Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit against Roger Ailes after she was fired from Fox last year. Now, she’s made it onto the Time’s 100 list.
Carlson was sexually harassed (as far as we know) by Roger Ailes. Her coming forward led to Ailes being fired. She, so far, has spoken at countless conferences as well as lobbied lawmakers. She will be publishing a book about sexual harassment in the workplace later this year.
Their has been criticism around Carlson being a whistleblower- she has a well-established career and she seems to be financially well off. These criticisms will continue to be a topic of discussion because it hinders women’s abilities to come forward against their harassers.
