We all know that life’s somehow about the connection between us and the people who surround us: friends, fellow college students, family, significant others, co-workers, bosses, etc. Balancing all of those relationships and creating new relationships with more people are a major part of your life
However, sometimes it hits you and, for a minute, or a moment, or its always at a corner of your soul when you realize you’re on your own.
You’re on your own for understanding yourself. Understanding what you really want, what you like, what you love and how to solve your own problems.
You’re on your own for healing your pain and weakness.
You’re on your own for protecting yourself from getting hurt by others. You decide who can hurt you by determining whether or not you let them in.
You’re on your own for changing the way you think when you realize you’re wrong. Only you can convince yourself to have an open mind, absorb new ideas and get rid of old ones.
You’re on your own when you’re suffering or in pain. Nobody has the same life or is in the same situation as you, so they won’t be able to fully understand what you’re going through. Only you know how it feels to have your effort wasted. Only you know what you have done and what you have sacrificed to do something or to love somebody. ONLY YOU!
You’re on your own with the lonely feeling deep inside your soul.
Sometimes, you need to be on your own to learn how to get stronger, how to be independent, how to face all the struggle in life, how to get what you want and how to find out the best of your suffering.
It’s also a way of enjoying and getting the most out of your life. When you’re on your own you discover yourself and the real value of life.
So, when you feel lonely, when you feel left behind when you feel weak, hurt and alone, now is the time and this is your chance to live the best life possible. You are capable of recovering after any obstacle gets in your way.
