25 Ways to Overcome the Mid-Semester Blues

So you’re halfway through the semester and time seems to be ticking by slower and slower. It’s been weeks since you had a home cooked meal and slept in your own bed at home. You’ve just spent weeks studying for midterms and now you’re feeling pretty drained. All college students know what I’m talking about and if you don’t, I promise you will eventually. It’s the mid semester blues… If you’re feeling anything like me, take a look at these tips to help beat the blues. 

 

  1. Go for a walk  

  2. Reward Yourself 

  3. Go out to dinner with friends 

  4. Clean your room 

  5. Do some yoga 

  6. Recognize your feelings 

  7. Get some extra sleep! 

  8. Visit home more often 

  9. Start a new Netflix show 

  10. Plan out your time 

  11. Hit the gym 

  12. Buy some new clothes 

  13. Talk to the counseling center 

  14. Change up your routine 

  15. Give yourself things to look forward to 

  16. Eat healthier 

  17. Take things one day at a time 

  18. Listen to motivational music 

  19. Find a new study spot 

  20. Give yourself a facial 

  21. Write in a journal 

  22. Go to the movies 

  23. Get organized 

  24. Hang out with new people

Overall the key is to stay busy. If you occupy yourself as well as your mind with things you love to do, then before you know it, summer will be here! So go ahead and take the rest of the semester head on.
