Alright, so it’s March and this Friday is St. Paddy’s Day! So, run to McDonald’s to get your Shamrock Shake or….make it yourself to save room for all the calories from the infamous green beer! Here’s the recipe you’ve been waiting for that gives you all the yum of the coveted dessert without all of the calories that weigh you down:
First, you need: 1 cup of vanilla yogurt (I suggest Greek, and frozen)
1/2 cup skim milk ( or almond milk ) 1 banana ( frozen ) 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract  to taste chocolate chips ( Handful (optional) ) to taste food coloring ( A few drops green ) to taste whipped cream ( for topping, optional ) to taste maraschino cherries ( for topping, optional ) Â
Next (it’s simple): Mix it all together and add the whipped cream and cherry on top!
I know, it is super simple, but trust me, its so much better than McDonald’s!
