What do you like best about Mount Holyoke?
I like that it allows me to explore my interests! There aren’t that many schools where you can study both chemistry and theater.
Â
How have you changed since coming to Mount Holyoke?
I think Mount Holyoke has given me a better perspective on how the world works and how different people can be, and how different people make the world better.
Â
What was your favorite Mount Holyoke or Five College class and why?
Probably a toss up between my Entropy first year seminar and my Women in Shakespeare seminar last year. I loved Entropy because it was just a lot of fun and I really liked the concepts involved, and Women in Shakespeare because I love Shakespeare and it was really cool to understand the women in his work through performance.
Â
Why did you choose to double major in Chemistry and Theater?
I chose chemistry first because I took chemistry in high school and loved it! All those little tiny particles bouncing together and eventually making huge things! It’s like a secret little world you can’t see. As for theater, I’ve done theater since I was in junior high and I was on the fence about declaring it for a long time because the chem major keeps me pretty busy, but I decided I loved it too much to not pursue it as a major. Also, I love Shakespeare. A lot.
Â
Which clubs or orgs have you joined?
Not too many because I’m busy with my schoolwork, but right now the Biochem club and I’m also involved with Project Theatre.
Â
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I don’t have much spare time but I am a huge Netflix junkie and I love going to Amherst and drinking cappuccinos.
Â
What is your favorite season?
Spring!
Â
What is your coolest/weirdest talent?
In chemistry I can do a separation like a pro.
Â
What makes you laugh?
Almost everything honestly. I have a very wide sense of humor. Stupid memes are almost a guarantee though.
Â
What are your dreams or goals for the future?
I want to be a chemist and do anything with chemistry really! (Being on Broadway is a pipe dream of mine)
