Spring time is fast approaching, especially here in Savannah. With spring comes the promise of flowers blooming, the sun shining, and many many picnics in some of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen. As a kid, my mom would always go a little overboard with the food, pastries, salads, and sandwiches galore, and so when I got to college I wanted to do the same. Yet sometimes planning a picnic can get a little overwhelming especially if its for a group pf people with a range of dietary preferences. So here are a few ideas of what to bring and make for a perfect spring picnic. Â
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
I have a massive sweet tooth so I always think of dessert first. An easy one to do is chocolate covered strawberries, you can go simple by just dipping the strawberries into some melted chocolate and placing them in the fridge to harden or you can get a little fancier.

Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade
Next up is drinks. I love lemonade just as much as the next girl, but after a while I want to try something new. This recipe is amazing, super easy and it tastes just as good with store bought lemonade as homemade! If you’re over 21, you can add a little vodka to the mix for a kick.

Caprese Skewers
To impress everyone without the work, try these caprese skewers. They are probably one of my favorite snacks to make regardless of being at a picnic or not, plus they are a food that is easy to eat without making a mess.

Mini Mac’n’Cheese
My least favorite thing about picnic food is trying to eat food with a knife and fork. It creates a mess and makes the clean up a lot harder. So instead of making the typical mac’n’cheese try these mac’n’cheese bites. Just as good without the clean up!

Chicken Salad Sandwiches
Last but not least, you can’t have a picnic without sandwiches. Grilled sandwiches tend to get soggy and PB&J’s are good, but not necessarily the most creative- so chicken salad is the way to go.
