Her Campus Brandeis: What are you involved in on campus?
Nicole Famiglietti: I’m a member of BEMCo! I work as a sales associate at the bookstore and in Gosman as a sports medicine assistant. Also, I am the course liaison for the EMT Course offered on campus!
HC: Why did you become an EMT? What do you enjoy about being an EMT?
NF: I have always admired the work that first responders do. Their dedication and commitment  to helping others never ceases to amaze me. Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to have a career in medicine. I decided to become an EMT because I genuinely enjoy helping people and I wanted to learn more about prehospital care and the EMS system in general. I get to work with a really great group of people on BEMCo and I like that you never know what call you’re going to get dispatched to next. But overall, I really enjoy being able to help people. It’s such an amazing yet humbling experience when someone essentially puts their trust in you when you respond to a call and you are able to help them.
HC: What is one of your favorite Brandeis memories (so far)?
NF: Â I have met some pretty incredible people in the past three years that I am fortunate enough to call my friends. They have really impacted my time here at Brandeis and I think my favorite memories so far are meeting them.
HC: What advice do you have for new and incoming students?
NF:   Do things that you genuinely love rather than what is expected of you. Take away: You do you man. Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
HC: What do you want to do after Brandeis?
NF: After Brandeis, I want to go to medical school. I want to work in emergency medicine. Ultimately, my goal is to one day practice medicine abroad and help people in need.
HC: True or false: you’re a quadruplet? Â
NF: TRUE!!! It’s my go to fun fact!
