Guess who we spotted having an intimate wedding this afternoon? Lonely boy. That’s right, GG alum Penn Badgley married his girlfriend Domino Kirke (sister of Girls actress Jemima Kirke) earlier this afternoon. Where did it all go down? In a Brooklyn courthouse, surrounded by several of their closest family and friends.
Can Lonely Boy get any more cliché?
Photos from the ceremony found on Instagram reveal Domino in a white lace three-quarter sleeved dress, and Penn in a navy suit. Were you disappointed it wasn’t grey, like he wore when he married Serena van der Woodsen?
A friend of the lovely couple posted a picture of the two at their ceremony. Although we may be angry it’s not Serena (who’s married to Ryan Reynolds in real life), we have to admit, they look extremely happy together. Maybe we could ‘ship them, too.
Domino’s sister Lola posted a picture of the three sisters and Domino’s son, Cassius. The caption stated, “When someone gets married in a courthouse, it’s really an open invitation to everyone but the beautiful bride to explore all that fashion has to offer. Here, I try a look simply called ‘Pants,’ as Cassius goes for ‘That Dude from #incubus’ and Jemima experiments with ‘Off to Therapy!’ Congratulations @dominokirke. We love you.”
While there’s no news on whether any of the other GG alum were in attendance, there seemed to be plenty of love and happiness in the air. It can’t get any more intimate than a small wedding at a Brooklyn courthouse on a Monday afternoon. Like Dan Humphrey once stated, I wasn’t born into this world, maybe I could write myself into it…
If only I could write Serena van der Woodsen into the picture.
