I Love You: A Tribute to Pizza

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

While some lean on their friends, and others lean on their family, I, like many, lean on pizza. Pizzaā€™s ability to be diverse, with various sauces, veggies, meats, and even through its shape, has taught us that perfection truly does come in all shapes and sizes. Please join me in recognizing pizza for all of the reasons it has made our lives a lot better.

Ā

Ā

Pizza wonā€™t break your heart.

Itā€™s a comfort food;Ā there through all the hard times. With just one phone call or computer click, pizza will be at your doorstep. No matter what hour of the night, there it will be, waiting to keep you company.

There is no such thing as bad pizza.

Whether itā€™s delivery or Delissio, frozen or fresh out of the oven, thin crust or deep dish, thereā€™s nothing more satisfying than picking a slice of your favourite ā€˜za.

Toppings? Anything goes.

Take for instance the age-old debate of pineapple on pizza. Really, itā€™s all up to the consumer. Bacon? Sure, add that. Donā€™t forget the double cheese.

Ā

Ā

You can make it a snack, a meal, or a dessert.

Iā€™m talking pizza pockets for a midnight study snack. Iā€™m talking pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And Iā€™m definitely talking Treatza-Pizza from DQ.

Itā€™s your go-to after a wild night out.

Fact: If it can possibly get any better, itā€™s when youā€™re drunk.

Ā

Ā

It is a source of all the major food groups.

Full of veggies, meat, cheese, and bread, you can basically check off your daily intake, am I right?

Ā

Ā

Pizza is patient, pizza is kind.

It does not envy, for it is envied. It does not boast, for people boast about it. It is not proud, but people are proud of it.

Ā

And finally,

Pizza is the ultimate lover.

It satisfies you in ways no one else can.

What can I say, Iā€™ve never met a pizza I didnā€™t like.
