Today’s the day — the Oscars are here and they’ve inspired me to create a golden glam eye look for you! To see how it’s done, keep on reading!
Step 1:
Prime your lid and start with a nude base eyeshadow. This will make it easier to blend everything out later.
Step 2:
Add a medium warm brown to your crease to start building on some color. This will complement the gold shadow later on. You can use as light or as dark of a shade as you would like, but keep in mind we’re going to darken it up a bit later on. It’s up to you to decide how dramatic you want the look to be. As you can see by the picture, I used a pretty light shade here.
Step 3:
Mix a black and dark brown shadow on your eyeshadow brush and tap iit on the outer third of your eye, keeping it closer to the lash line and blending in the direction you would blend your winged liner. This also appears subtle in the image, but it’s a bit more obvious in person. Again, it’s up to you how dramatic you want the look to be.
Step 4:
Choose your favorite metallic brown or bronze eyeshadow and place it on the outer half of your lid, but not in the crease.
Step 5:
Choose your favorite gold eyeshadow. Try spraying your brush with water or setting spray to really pack on the pigment. Go back in with the bronze shade if you feel it gets blended away or you want it to pop more.
Step 6:
Blend the gold shadow along the inner half of your lower lash line, following with a black or dark brown along the outer half.
Step 7:
Choose a champagne shade and place it on your inner eye corner and the inner section of your lower lashline.
Step 8:
Here, I decided I wanted the outer corner and crease to be darker, so I went back in with a black shadow and blended it out. Then, I finished with a winged liner and my favorite mascara.
I decided to pair the look with a cool brown lip with a subtle gold metallic center, which I did by tapping my finger in the center of the lip while the lipstick was still wet.
