It isn’t a shock that classic television shows from the late 1990’s to the early 2000’s have recently blown up again in the media. Generations after generations are rediscovering old shows that their parents once tuned in every week, and what we watching show after show now on a streaming site. Making statements in the world of television, and the world of fashion—Sex and the City will always remain a hit.
What is also making a statement is the outfits each character sported in the episodes. The girls in Sex and the City sport more of the luxurious looks from fashion world. From Louboutin to high-end fashion designers sprinkled across the city of New York, they’ve got it all.

If you’re leaning more towards a Carrie Bradshaw style, your closet will be filled with shoes more expensive than your months rent and in various colors you didn’t know existed. She often states throughout the show that either a dress she’s bought, or the pair of shoes, took her maxing out her credit card to purchase. So if you enjoy cigarettes in bed in the morning with your very own Mr. Big, and then running home the next morning to write your sex column in the same Manolos and either a Versace or Chanel dress – Carrie’s style is definitely one for you!

The other girls in the show don’t wear such extravagant outfits as Carrie does, but between Samantha and Charlotte—they both come in a close second. Samantha Jones, the older gal of the show who really puts the sex in Sex and the City, is known for her various guy friends and late nights out in the town. Scared of commitment, and never scared of a new nightclub—her outfits really speak it for her. Usually dressed from head to toe in something extravagant—her go-to’s are Valentino, and Fendi. Lets also not forget about the beloved Birkin. Therefore, if your nightlife typically consists of clubs and fancy restaurants with a new boo, or even searching for one to take home that night, in a more causal upscales fit—Samantha is definitely you!

Charlotte York, like a breath of fresh air to some. Charlottes style is classy Upper Westside New York, and resembles the beloved show, “Gossip Girl”, for all you Blake Lively Fans. Charlottes’ style represents her personality, conservative but wild. From transitioning from Christianity to Jewish – she has been through it all. Sporting her Ferragamo dress’ frequently, you’ll often find her often in Chanel shopping while carrying her own Chanel as well. If you live for Sunday Brunch, art galleries, and the perfect husband in the perfect house (the Barbie dream life, duh), then you and Charlotte would be best friends.

For those of you who enjoy burying yourself in work, while trying to go out most nights to find the perfect guy, Miranda Hobbes definitely represents you. From guy to guy, she hunts out the ones with a quirky personality, but lets not forget quirky in the bedroom. Her outfits typically are more work oriented, suits galore.
