Healthy Valentine’s Day Treats

Valentine’s Day is literally right around the corner (seriously guys it’s 2 days away), and so is SPRING BREAK?! Yes, that’s right. Spring break is only 4 weeks away and although those chocolates do look delicious, I went on Pinterest and found some of my favorite healthy desserts for you to indulge in instead. You will thank me later when you are soaking up the sun on a beach somewhere! :) 

Apple Fruit Donuts

  • Ingredients
    • Apples
    • Cream cheese
    • Sprinkles
    • Food coloring (optional)
  • Remove apple core and slice apples into disks.
  • Spread cream cheese over apple slice and sprinke some sprinkles on top.
  • Add some red food coloring to the cream cheese if you feel like being more festive for Valentine’s Day!

Cupid’s Crunch Chex Mix

  • Ingredients
    • 2 cups Rice Chex cereal
    • 1 cup Cheerios
    • 1 cup pretzel sticks
    • 1 and ÂĽ cup M&M’s
    • 1 cup honey roasted peanuts
    • 2 cups white chocolate candy melts
    • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • In a large bowl, mix together the Chex cereal, Cheerios, pretzels, peanuts, and M&M’s
  • In a small bowl, mix oil and white chocolate melts together
  • Melt in the microwave on 50% power in 20 second increments, stirring the chocolate between each burst of power.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over dry ingredients and carefully fold everything together.
  • Immediately spread mixture out onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet to dry. 
  • Break apart and enjoy!

Strawberries with Chocolate Protein Dipping Sauce

  • Ingredients
    • 1 cup Plain nonfat Greek yogurt
    • 1 ½ tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1 ½ tsp stevia
    • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • Add the Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, and stevia to a small bowl. Stir until smooth. Serve with the fresh berries!

Strawberry Oreo Parfait

  • Ingredients
    • Fresh strawberries
    • Cool Whip
    • Oreos
  • Create layer of 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, followed by whip cream, and topped with crushed oreos, then Repeat!

Yogurt Dipped Strawberries

  • Ingredients
    • Fresh strawberries
    • Vanilla greek yogurt
    • Red food coloring (optional)
  • Clean fresh strawberries and simply dip them into the yogurt.
  • Place on wax sheet and freeze for 1 hour, then Indulge!
