January is notorious for being the brokest month of the year. We can all admit that we probably were too big of ballers during the holiday season, and our Amazon order list can attest to that fact. As February approaches, we are faced with yet another financial dilemma: Valentine’s Day. Whether you are planning to go out on the town with the gals or light some candles and play smooth jazz with that special someone, the harsh reality of the V-Day price tag is daunting for most. That’s where I come in! Below is a list of some of the best spots to take your Valentine where you can break out the charm without breaking the bank.

Go to a Drive-In Movie
StarLight Drive-In (https://starlightdrivein.com/) has been a feature of Atlanta for many years. For an intimate V-Day outing, I would suggest going either the Monday or Wednesday of Valentine’s Day week, that way you and bae can have more space. Tickets are $9 a person, but most movies are double features! That’s $4.50 a movie!
2. Netflix and Cheese
Sometimes staying in can be more romantic than braving the Valentine’s Day chaos. I would suggest going to Kroger and selecting some of your favorite foods. Or if you really want to get fancy, make a DIY cheese board. Usually, you can get away with only spending $10 if you are smart with your snack choices. Click on your favorite Romantic Comedy and you’re set for a cuddly night in.
3. Twilight Stroll in Centennial Park
Take on the night with that person that can keep you warm. For a super low-cost date, I suggest making a thermos of hot chocolate and taking a stroll in the beautiful Centennial Park to the backdrop of the Skyview Atlanta Ferris Wheel. Tickets for the Ferris Wheel are usually $12.50 without tax. But if you buy ahead on Groupon, you can get a romantic ride for two, including chocolates for $23.
