I’m a firm believer in the holidays needing snow. It just isn’t the same without it. The snow seems almost magical and the snow falling is like no other scene. Skiing and snowmobiling are two fun activities to do in the snow and who could forget about the wonderful sport of ice hockey?Â
With that being said, I still hate the snow. It is pretty to look at, but that’s about it. I hate the cold, I hate driving in the snow, I hate wearing bulky coats, gloves, hats, scarves. It’s a pain. My number one problem with the snow is that people seem to have forgotten how to drive when there is snow on the ground.
I will admit that I am the type to drive slow, like a little old lady, when there is only a few wisps of snow on the road. Hey, better safe than sorry if you ask me. People are always in a hurry. Would you rather take your time and be late or end up in a ditch somewhere? Cars are not cheap. And getting your broken, bent up car towed home isn’t cheap either.
I guess I’ll move to the south and suffer without with beauty of the snow and without skiing and snowmobiling. Thankfully, the south still has ice hockey, so I think I’ll survive.
Just keep this in mind: drive carefully in the snow.
