5 Fashion Pieces You Need to Survive This Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

The holiday season is officially here! That also means that winter is coming. I personally love the idea of laying in bed with a hot drink while having Netflix on and looking out to gloomy weather. Too bad I can’t always be inside whenever it gets dreary and cold. Walking around campus in the winter weather can be brutal when you only own cute Fall/Spring/Summer clothing pieces. Here are a few fashion pieces you can buy this winter to stay warm and look cute.

1. Bomber jacket

H&M Bomber Jacket $49.99

Beat the winter breeze with a bomber jacket. They are totally giving us ‘model off-duty’ vibes.

2. Knee-high socks

Target Knee High Socks Oatmeal with Buttons One Size – Merona™ $5

Pair knee-high socks with a skirt, boots, and sheer tights, and you’ve got yourself a cute but also functional outfit.

3. Chunky sweater

L.L.Bean Cozy Bouclé Sweater, Cowlneck $69.95

Put down the grandma sweater, and swap it for an oversized chunky sweater.

4. Blanket scarf

Kohl’s Blanket Scarf $31.50

A blanket will not only add volume to an outfit but also keep you very warm in the chilly weather.

5. Peacoat

Thread & Supply Double Breasted Peacoat- Nordstrom $37.90

It’s a classic that never goes out of style! It’s always to invest in a good peacoat to hold you through multiple winters.
