Ways to Relieve Stress Before Finals

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GWU chapter.

Finals season is about to begin, and I’m sure everyone is already completely stressed out! This is the final stretch before the semester is over and we’re off for winter break. It’s difficult to stay positive when all you can think about is the amount of work you have to do! However, there are some ways to help yourself de-stress before it all begins. Check out these five tips for relieving your stress before finals:

  1. Come out to a GW basketball game! This is a great way to show some school spirit, and best of all, tickets are free with your GWorld. This Saturday, December 3rd, the game is GW vs. USF at 2:00 pm. Even better, adorable kids from Lemonade Day DC are going to be selling cups of lemonade by the doors!

2.  Have a spa night! Gather up a few of your close friends or roommates and paint your nails, do a face mask, and put a hot towel over your face to cleanse your pores. Instant relaxation.

3.  Settle in with popcorn and a movie. Watch something super light-hearted and fun, like a rom com or a throwback movie.

4.  Try a new restaurant with all of your friends! DC is notorious for having the best brunch. Venture down to Georgetown or into Dupont Circle and spend some time enjoying a meal.
