My life motto has always been “quality over quantity”, in every aspect of life. Especially when it comes to fashion, I’m a firm believer that it’s better to invest in a few staple quality pieces and build your wardrobe around them, rather than having a thousand items you wear once and throw away. But if there’s something that I learned in these first 3 months living here in New York City, and walking (almost) everywhere, is that here your shoes won’t last much longer than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ wedding.
So, with winter approaching, the question when it comes to shoes is whether to invest in a good pair hoping that the quality will make the splurge worth, or save knowing what your shoes have to face on a daily basis and that they will eventually end up getting destroyed anyway.
Either way it doesn’t mean you have to give up looking stylish or following the latest fashion trends, because as Karl Lagerfeld says: “Today everybody can look chic in inexpensive clothes . There is good clothing design on every level today”. To prove that he’s right, here are some Fall 2016 Boots trends inspired by the runway and celebrities. You decide whether to save or splurge on them.
