Thanksgiving Activities Around Boston

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Staying in the area this Thanksgiving? There are plenty of ways to stay entertained in Boston this week.

1. Run in a turkey trot

What better way to make yourself less guilty about the quantity of food you will consume later in the day than by running a race the morning of Thanksgiving! Recruit some family or friends to run with you for some “friendly” competition.

2. Visit Plimoth Plantation

The home of a live museum showing the Plymouth Colony settlement is the perfect place to visit this Thanksgiving weekend. Go experience where it all began.

3. Go watch a Celtics or Bruins game

Cheer on our Boston teams at the TD Garden this week!

4. Check out the Faneuil Hall holiday decorations

Faneuil Hall Marketplace puts on Blink!, a nightly sound and light show that runs throughout the holiday season. Eat dinner in Quincy Market and then watch the show for a great night!

5. Attempt Black Friday shopping

Depending on where you go, it can be miserably crowded, but the sales are worth it! With lots of options in Boston like Newbury Street and Copley Place, you’re bound to find a good deal.

However you choose to spend your Thanksgiving this year, enjoy the time with friends and family!
