Deck the halls with melancholy,
Midterms and finals, essays and papers, tests and quizzes galore;
Oral presentations, writing compositions, course evaluations and more!
Tis the season to be folly,
On Monday I’ll study, on Tuesday I’ll cry;
And on Wednesday I’ll study over a pizza pie!
Don we now our gray apparel,
On Thursday I’ll procrastinate, on Friday I’ll cram;
Then comes Saturday morning, complaining o’er the exam!
Troll the ancient Term end wail,
Sunday morn, I’ll read Alexander the Great;
Sunday night, I’ll realize my plight.
See the tired students before us,
Monday morning, final class debate;
Exam time prior, I’ve accepted my fate.
Tap the card and board the bus,
The bell is rung, the papers are done;
This term is over, winter has come.
Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
By a procrastinating student
