This is not a drill, fellow Stars Hollow townspeople! We are mere days away from the most anticipated revival of the year! Of course, I’m talking (very fast) about Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. If you are a mega fan like me, then you definitely have some questions that you have been wanting answered since the series wrapped eight years ago and you most definitely have questions after watching all of the revival trailers.
In honor of all eight seasons (including the revival) these are the questions that I demand and hope get answered. So, find your pens, and grab a coffee because it’s time to go full on Rory-Gilmore-list-maker.
1. Who does Rory end up with?
This question keeps me up at night for multiple reasons. One, I am #TeamLogan and desperately want the two to end up together. Two, I won’t be able to take all the #TeamJess fans gloat if she ends up with him. Lastly, what if she ends up with no one? HOW WILL I EVER GET CLOSURE!
2. Are Luke and Lorelai married? In the process?
Based on the trailer and the fact Lorelai is hiking in the woods while looking all sad, I think we can assume she is having some kind of midlife crisis. Does this mean that a wedding isn’t in the picture anymore? Can Luke and Lorelai survive the year? They are relationship goals to the max and both deserve a happy ending.
3. How is Emily coping?
I mean of course she isn’t okay! But will she be okay and how much will Richard’s death impact her? We already know she is wearing jeans a tee shirt, does that mean her attire and will to party plan is gone for good? She made Richard promise she would “go first,” but now she has to learn how to be a widow. Cue the ugly crying.
4. How did Richard die?
Was it his heart? Over the course of the series Richard had two heart attacks and every time Emily put him on a strict fish diet. So, what happened to Richard? Will we get an answer? Do we even want to know, or will it make it even sadder? I think as a fan we deserve to know a cause of death for our favorite Gilmore Guy.
5. What have Dean, Logan, and Jess been doing?
Let’s start with Dean. Is he still working at Doose’s market? Did he ever patch things up with Lindsay? Did he remarry? Is he less whiney? All sub-questions that require answers. As for Jess, is he still a writer? Where is he living? Does he still love Rory? Married? My questions for Logan are kind of the same ones I have about Jess except we should know how his tech company in San Francisco panned out.
6. How are Sookie and Lane’s kids doing?
Yes of course I want to know if Hep Ailen is still together and if Sookie ever did anything outside of just cooking at the Inn. But more importantly, both of these women have grown children, they are not just babies anymore! I hope we see them and get an update on their lives thus far, as well as some fun stories from the mothers.
7. Are Doyle and Paris married yet?
A lot of rumors have been flying around about these two and if they are already married or if they are going to be getting married during the revival. For the sake of fans, I hope we get to see a wedding between these two, just imagine seeing Paris as a bridezilla!
8. What are the final four words?
We already know that we getting the answer to this one and it is probably the most coveted, best kept secret about the new episodes. Ever since creator Amy Sherman-Palladino left the show before Season 7, fans have been bugging her to tell them the last four words she always envisioned the show ending on, and finally we get to hear them.

Just…..why?
There are probably well over 100 questions that I would like the revival to answer like: How long has Rory been away from home? Does Lorelai want more kids? Why is there a musical happening? What happened when Rory went on the road with Obama? How is business at the Inn? So many things that a fan of the show just yearns to know! Hopefully all will be answered soon. Get ready gang, November 25th is right around the corner! COPPER BOOM!
