On the off chance that anyone out there agrees with President-elect Trump that global warming is a hoax created by the Chinese to further their manufacturing sector, China’s Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin spoke at a press briefing at the UN summit in Morocco on Wednesday to assure everyone that that’s not the case.
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

“If you look at the history of climate change negotiations, actually it was initiated by the IPCC with the support of the Republicans during the Reagan and senior Bush administration during the late 1980s,” he said. Reagan and the senior Bush were two of the most beloved Republican presidents.
This was not the first or last crazy thing that Trump has said about climate change:
Snowing in Texas and Louisiana, record setting freezing temperatures throughout the country and beyond. Global warming is an expensive hoax!

NBC News just called it the great freeze – coldest weather in years. Is our country still spending money on the GLOBAL WARMING HOAX?

The President-elect also appeared on Fox & Friends back in January and claimed that China “does not do anything to help climate change,” according to USA Today. But China’s actually doing better than the U.S. at combatting climate change. And given that Trump has chosen Myron Ebell, a climate change denier, to lead the transition at the Environmental Protection Agency, China’s likely to do a lot more than us in the next four years to help save our planet.
According to USA Today, China’s president Xi Jinping and Trump spoke on the phone earlier this week and “established a clear sense of mutual respect for one another.”
