Western has a reputation for being a party school, and it’s no secret that students here love to party. Whether you’re heading over to Frog for free drunk food, hitting Ceeps for their banging Flashback Friday playlist, or pounding back dollar beers at Jacks, a night out in London is always an experience.
Based on my own experiences, here’s what a typical night out in London looks like:
Â
7:00 pm: Hair and Makeup
Â
It’s girl’s night out and you want to look fabulous. You queue up Netflix before attempting to do that hair tutorial you saw on Pinterest earlier and achieve the perfect liquid line.
Â
8:30 pm: Outfit
Now that you’ve finished getting ready, it’s time to decide what you’re going to wear. You frantically tear through your closet, trying to find the perfect outfit.
Â
9:45 pm: Heading to the Pre
You’ve finally found the perfect outfit. You start to round up your squad and take a few quick pictures before heading out. The pre was supposed to start at 8:30, so if you show up at 10, you’ll totally be “fashionably late.”
Â
10:30 pm: The Pre
You mingle with other people, with your main focus being trying to get drunk enough that going to the club will be the most fun you’ve ever had, but not so drunk that you don’t actually make it inside.
Â
11:05 pm: Standing in Line
You finally make it to the bar. Your friend claimed they “knew a promoter” who could “definitely get us in,” but the bouncer had never heard of them. You stand shivering in line, regretting your decision not to wear a jacket so you wouldn’t have to do coat check and feeling soberer by the minute.
Â
11:30 pm: In the Bar
At last, you’re here.
Â
11:33 pm: Shots
In the wise words of LMFAO, shots shots shots shots shots shots shots everybody!
Â
12:01 am: Taking Photos
You spot the club photographer. You call him over and try your best not to look *too* drunk as you make him take 15 photos of you and your friends until you find one that is good enough for Insta. Â
Â
12:25 am: Dancing
Your song comes on and you rush onto the dance floor, eager to show off the moves you’ve been practicing in your bedroom by yourself.
Â
1:30 am: Trying to find your friends
You’re tired, you’re hungry, and your feet are starting to hurt. With 1% battery left on your phone, you desperately search the club for your friends so you can go home.
Â
2:00 am: Drunk food
Ah, drunk food. Easily the best part of a night out. You stop by King Richie’s or Smoke’s on your way home for the bar for a quick bite to eat, thus signaling the end of your night out.
