1. Roast them
There’s countless ways to flavor pumpkin seeds and then roast them in the oven. After removing them from the pumpkin, just wash them and get all the “goo” off. Toss with your choice of oil and seasoning and there you have it! They make perfect snacks to munch on. You can do sweet, salty, or spicy. For a sweet option, try cinnamon sugar. If you’re more into salty flavors, try coating the seeds in olive oil and adding your favorite seasoned salt. If you love all things spicy, coat the seeds in olive oil and add paprika, cumin and cayenne. YUM!
2. Add them to your granola
Take the sweet cinnamon pumpkin seeds you roasted and throw them in with your favorite granola! This will add just the right amount of sweet flavor and spice up your normal breakfast. Plus, it adds some healthy fats.
3. Throw them into your trail mix
Mix up your classic trail mix by adding some seasoned pumpkin seeds. Throw them in with any nut, dried fruit and chocolate mixture. My favorite is peanuts, almonds, dried cranberries, dark chocolate and salty pumpkin seeds! For all of you sweet and salty lovers out there, try this. It won’t disappoint.
4. Put them on your salads
Pumpkin seeds add such a great crunch to salad. Throw them on any salad combo and it will add the perfect fall flavor. Not to mention it looks festive!
5. Use them to decorate desserts
Nothing makes a dessert look more in-season for fall than pumpkin seed décor. Throw pumpkin seeds on top of any dessert, and you will score major festivity points. Whether its cookies, a cake or cupcakes, this adding pumpkin seeds will do the trick!
