Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, and Megyn Kelly, a Fox News anchor, had a bizarre feud during an interview Tuesday night during an episode of ‘The Kelly Files’. Gingrich accused Kelly of being “fascinated with sex” for reporting on allegations of Donald Trump touching women nonconsensually.Â
The discussion, which started out as a dialogue about whether Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton were ahead in the polls, escalated quickly, The New York Times reports. Gingrich accused Kelly, as well as the media in general, for always focusing on Trump and not reporting on Clinton’s paid private speeches. Â
“You are fascinated with sex and you don’t care about public policy,” Gingrich told Kelly. Kelly replied, “Me? Really?”Â
Kelly went on to say she’s “not fascinated by sex,” but is “fascinated by the protection of women” and said that she had a responsibility to cover these accusations. Amen, sister.
She closed the interview by telling Gingrich to take his “anger issues and spend some time working on them.”Â
Gingrich promptly took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to say that he doesn’t have anger issues, but rather, media bias issues.Â
For the record, @megynkelly was wrong, i don’t have anger management issues. I do have media bias issues!

Because there isn’t a fight that he doesn’t like, Trump, during the unveiling of a Trump hotel in Washington D.C., congratulated Gingrich on his interview with Kelly, NBC reports by saying, “Congratulations, Newt, on last night, that was an amazing interview.” Well, at least Newt has one person on his side.Â
