5 Books for 20 Somethings According to Welington Andrade

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Casper Libero chapter.

Welington Andrade, Portuguese Literature and Writing Techniques professor, is considered one of the most admired and rigorous teachers when it comes to grades and demanding the best in students. His essays proposals and writing test are difficult, but extremely interesting and thought-provoking. Besides the books he already requests for classes, we asked him what other readings he would recommend to students and younger generations. Here are his list:

Metamorfose – Franz Kafka “It’s about understanding the type of modern world we are surrounded by”

Notes from Undergroud – Fiodor Dostoievski “Realizing how personal affections and hatred, usually projected in the social environment, are lond dated”.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheap? – Philip K Dick “Great for understanding how the universe of science fiction can be trespassed by philosophy”

LĂşcia Mccartney – Rubem Fonseca “It’s about the vigour and strenghts of the Brazilian contemporary tale”

Contos Completos – Murilo RubiĂŁo “How modern art movements are reinterpreted in Brazil in a particular manner”
