On Saturday October 29, 2016, the Fifth Annual Loop Da Lu 5K walk/run will be taking place at California Lutheran University. The Loop Da Lu takes place during Homecoming and Family weekend. This event allows for Cal Lutheran alumni, and their families, to come back to campus and participate in a fun event!Â
There are over 250 people registered for the event this year. The great thing about this event is that it isn’t just for alumni and their families, it is open to everyone: students, alumni, families and the community. There is no age limit on this fun and exciting event either, so that means the whole family can participate. This event really proves the point that Cal Lutheran is a community. In years past, the race has ended with a tailgate. This year though, the race will be ending with Pancakes with the President. President Kimball, along with other faculty, will be flipping blueberry pancakes after the event. Even non-participants can enjoy the breakfast after the race. If you did not participate in the race but would like to enjoy the breakfast, it is $7 for adults and $3 for children.
It is not too late to sign up for this fun event! Registration has been extended to October 25. If you are a Cal Lutheran student the fee is only $20, and this also includes a T-shirt. If you want to participate but don’t want a shirt, then the cost is only $10. For non Cal Lutheran students, the cost is $45 up until the 25th. Don’t worry if you miss the registration deadline, you can sign up the morning of the race. If this is the case the cost is $50, and you are not guaranteed a T-shirt.
