10 Signs You’re the Mom of Your Friend Group

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wilfrid Laurier chapter.

If 5 or more of these apply to you, chances are you are the mom of your friend group!

1. Your purse is always stocked with essentials.

Chap stick? Check. Kleenex? Check. Extra phone charger? Check. Gum? Check.

2. You definitely have your own first aid kit.

All those hours you’ve spent watching Grey’s Anatomy… you’re basically a doctor.

3. Your friends come to you when they’re sick.

You have it all: Tylenol, Advil, Pepto-Bismol; you’ve got them covered.

4. You prefer spending your nights in with Netflix.

Given the choice you’ll pick pajamas and your bed 95% of the time.

5. Your friends know who to call when they need a ride home.

No matter what the time, you never mind.

6. If you’re not picking them up, you always expect a text when they get home safe.

7. The worry is real when you don’t hear from them.

True motherly instincts.

8. When you do go out, you always find yourself taking care of someone.

You’ve held back hair more times than you can count.

9. You have a plan for everything.

Lists are your best friend.

10. Your friends go to you when they need advice.

But most importantly, don’t forget…

You can find Rachel hanging out with her hedgehog and binge watching Netflix. She's a third year student at Laurier completing a double major in Sociology and Philosophy. This is Rachel's first time writing for Her Campus, she is excited and eager to experience all that HC has to offer!

Wilfrid Laurier

You will typically see me with a large cup of tea and browsing social media under the fairy lights and reading up on my favourite lady bosses (Mindy Kaling let me be you please). Also my trivia regarding superheroes is endless. I have more music than time to listen to and someone definitely should consider taking away my blogging privileges. My love for pop culture is limitless and Netflix is the true MVP in my opinion. Contributor writer for HerCampus Laurier Stalk me and let's be friends here: Insta & Twitter: webofem
