Dear Mr. Trump,
This crazy reality show that you’ve called a campaign over the last year and a half has been fun to say the least. You’ve made personal blows at your competitors, the commentators who monitor debates and your own Miss Universe of 1997. I must say, you are the epitome of the mean girl in high school. We’ve given you the platform to continue bullying but we cannot give you any more leeway after your Billy Bush video was released.
The comments you made were crude, lewd and unfortunately expected, so I cannot see why anyone was surprised by what you said. This is the way that men talk about women behind closed doors and you got caught. Some may say it was “locker room talk”, but locker room talk doesn’t usually live on through a three-minute tape.
You see, you are what women are fighting against. “The Donald” may be your little stage name, but every woman has come across a “Donald” whether it be in the work place, on the street or in some cases in their own family. You are the boss who won’t put me on the schedule because I won’t sleep with him, you are the CEO who takes me off of the air because I refuse his sexual advances, you’re the crowd of men in suits that walk into my job, look at me up and down and say “Wow”, or the man who towered over my five foot roommate last Saturday morning and screamed “I’m going to f**k you in your a**”.
When we allow the big guy to get away and advance in our government it’s easy for the little guys to think that they can do it too. The sexual harassment that women face everyday may never stop if we continue to allow this. We can however stop the top dog, and that is you Mr. Trump. Men like you will continue to thrive in the business world but they do not have to thrive in the oval office. You see none of this is out of hate for you, Mr. Trump; it’s out of love for the women who have raised me and the women that I continue to love and support.
