I don’t know about you, but I am so happy it is finally fall in New England. The trees on campus are turning into a gorgeous sea of fall foliage, and it is finally time to cozy up for class in sweaters and scarves. Even though changing seasons can be very exciting, there also comes a need to introduce some new products into your life in order to add some excitement and new ideas to your fall. Thankfully, here at Her Campus Brandeis our HC Back to School Survival Kit has once again pulled through with some great new products to try out this fall. Here are some of my fall must-dos and must-haves this season.
Warm Beverages
Forge Divide Mug from CamelBak
Here’s one thing about fall I absolutely love: it once again becomes acceptable to bring steaming mugs of warm beverages to your morning classes (or if we’re being honest, all your classes). If I don’t feel like blowing through all my points at Einstein’s or Starbucks, the best thing to do is make my own hot beverage in my suite and take it with me in this new mug from CamelBak. Not only does it come in fun and bright colors, but it is also designed to prevent spills both while drinking from and transporting the mug. You can even throw it in your bag and be assured you won’t open it back up to a coffee or tea drenched mess! A total lifesaver for a spill-prone person like myself.
Rejuvenating Dry Skin
Feeling Beautiful Face Masks from Freeman Beauty
Sweater weather has its benefits, but also its downsides. One of those is that the colder weather always tends to dry out my skin. When moisturizing just isn’t enough, you can turn to a face mask like the Avocado/Oatmeal Clay Mask. If you need to detox and purify your skin, there’s the Charcoal and Black Sugar Polishing Mask. And the most fall-themed one, Apple Cider Vinegar 4-in-1 Foaming Clay Mask, does it all, and it’s got apple cider vinegar in it for a fun fall twist. After a long day full of class, meetings, and other commitments, us busy Brandeis girls can pop on a quick face mask and let it work its magic while we work our magic on those assignments pilling up!
Smelling Sweet
Juicy Couture Perfume Sample
When the seasons change, I start getting bored of my products and looking to switch it up. I still want to keep myself smelling sweet and fresh, but I also want to vary my scent. Thankfully, I didn’t have to begin the long and arduous process of picking new perfumes because the HC Back to School Survival Kit came with a Juicy Couture perfume sample just waiting to be tested out!
Dressing up for the holidays
L’eggs Sheer Energy Sheer Panty Medium Support and Rimmel Beauty Products
Fall at Brandeis means many things, including receiving many days off for the Jewish High Holidays. If you don’t celebrate, it just means you get some extra days to sleep in and catch up on work. And if you do celebrate, you will be breaking out those temple dresses to head to High Holiday services. I find it very hard to get a good pair of black, but still sheer, pantyhose to wear under my temple dresses, but this pair from L’eggs does the trick. They are also designed to be comfortable, which I appreciate, because pantyhose are not always the coziest of items. I also like to spice up my makeup for the holidays, and I can now use the mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick we received from Rimmel to vary my makeup look. I was especially happen to see 24HR Supercurler Mascara, because I am all about those long and full lashes.
New Her Campus Brandeis content
“Adulthood is a Myth,” “The Roommate Book,” and the Diva Cup
Maybe I’m just biased, but back to school and fall time is the best because our Her Campus page is flooded with the talent of our new and returning writers. Some of them have already gotten inspired by items in our HC Back to School Survival Kit, like the Diva Cup and the “adult comic books,” and have written some great articles on them that have made me excited to try the products myself.
These are only a few of the products I received in the HC Back to School Survival Kit, and I am looking forward to trying the rest of them out and seeing how they fit into my fall routine. Thanks HC for another great Survival Kit!
