Whether one of your friends just got dumped, or you simply all want to hang out, every group of girls need ideas for what they can do together for a cheap price.
1. Park and Picnic Shenanigans
Find a local park and let your inner child loose. Push your friends around on the swings, and take cute pictures while all going down the slide at the same time. Maybe even bring food for a picnic in the park!
2. Dress Up Nice
Sometimes it feels good just to dress up fancy with your friends. Typically, any event that requires fancy attire would be expensive, so just dress up nice to go out to a moderately priced restaurant. You can even take cute pictures there!
3. Drive Around with the Windows Down
As long as your friends contribute a few bucks for gas, go driving around campus and the surrounding streets and blast the old-school music you all used to listen to when you were younger. This includes Justin Bieber’s first album, Avril Lavigne, and maybe even the High School Musical soundtrack.
4. Spa Night
This is every young girl’s go-to slumber party activity, but it really never gets old. Paint nails, put on facemasks, and maybe even give makeovers just to have an excuse to take a good selfie. It’s the perfect time to gossip with your gals.
5. Thrift Shopping
Find all the best thrift stores nearby and see who can pick out the cutest outfit. Or just see who can find the most ridiculous clothing piece.
6. Unseen Movie Night
Scroll through Netflix until you can find a weird-sounding movie that none of your friends have seen before. When you watch it, have the group make commentary the whole time, picking out all the errors they can find.
7. Board Game or Video Game Night
As long as the game is suitable for a large group of people, a board game or a multiplayer video game can be fun for hours. Whether it’s Cards Against Humanity or Super Smash Brothers, these activities will either bond you for life or cause extreme competition.
8. Tie-Dye
Pick out one of the many free white t-shirts you’ve gathered from college and get your girls together for a tie-dye session. Everyone can pitch in for the cost of the dye, and just find a field or grassy patch by your dorm to set up a speaker and the supplies. Everyone who walks by will be jealous of the fun you’re having.
9. Humane Society
Find a local animal shelter or pet store and spend hours playing with puppies. If there are volunteer opportunities available at a shelter, spend your time having fun with your friends while also helping out animals who need care.
10. Jam Session
We all have that one friend who can play the guitar. Invite them to girls’ night and find a parking garage to jam out in. The acoustics will be fantastic in there, plus the cars that drive by will have some entertainment while they park.
