On Saturday, September 24th, F&M had their annual Fall Fest celebration. This day is filled with music, food, and fun activities for the student body to enjoy. It takes place on Hartman Green, in front of a temporary stage and is hosted by CEC. I’d like to give a special thanks to Erin Hallenbeck and Su Spina for putting so much time and effort into planning Fall Fest.

The line-up for the day was:

1:15pm — Poor Richards

1:45pm — RFA

2:35pm — The Rooks

3:35pm — Chiddy Bang

All the students there had a fantastic time! People spent the entire afternoon lounging on Hartman, with blankets spread out all over the place. Many students were dancing, laughing with their friends, and some were even attempting to do homework!

It was a gorgeous day outside, a little sunny, but also cool. A lot of students worse flannels, that they ended up taking off and wrapping around their waists. A henna station was set up and run by the Muslim Student Association and some of the sororities were hanging out snacks. A few food trucks even came by with burritos, burgers, and pretzels for the students.

When Chiddy Bang took the stage a little before four, the students were ecstatic. He had just finished performing in Mississippi and took an early flight up to Pennsylvania. Chiddy performed lots of songs off of his new album, but also played older hits, like the favorite “Mind Your Manners”. The crowd went wild and rushed toward the stage, with everyone dancing together.

Fall Fest this year was a major success!
