If I have learned anything from Beyoncé’s new album, Lemonade, it’s that when life throws heart-wrenching situations at you, squeeze the damn lemons, add that water and sprinkle it with sugar. With that being said, I have created the five-point Beyoncé Test to answer the lifelong question, “Should I TELL THAT BOY BYE?”

Point One: “You can taste the dishonesty / It’s all over your breath as you pass it off so cavalier”
Many of us have been victims to wishful thinking induced by “what we want to hear,” rather than what the truth is. Why this happens, I cannot answer, because the truth is fabulous! Don’t stress and put it to the Queen B test: Can you taste the dishonesty? If there’s an overwhelming amount of broken promises, or they can’t backup what they’re spittin’ out, TELL THAT BOY BYE.

Point Two: “My lonely ear / Pressed against the walls of your world”
Okay, so you’ve tried an ample amount of times to breakthrough into his world, but he’s dead bolted the door. Nobody wants to give up on somebody they care about, and I’m not necessarily advising you to do so. But, how dreadful is it to feel lonely in a relationship of two? If your persistent efforts aren’t enough for him to let you in, please girl, Tell That Boy Bye.

Point Three: “Can’t you see there’s no other man above you? / What a wicked way to treat the girl that loves you”
The worst feeling is to make somebody a priority and get treated like an option. A relationship should first and foremost be equal. As I’m sure we can all agree, nobody is perfect, people are busy and life is crazy. But if you are faithful, kind, receptive and understanding, and receive none of those in return, um BOY BYEEEEE.

Point Four: “What’s worse, lookin’ jealous or crazy? / Jealous or crazy? / Or like being walked all over lately, walked all over lately / I’d rather be crazy”
From experience, I can tell you there is nothing worse than looking jealous and crazy. Don’t be his secret. When you are told of your importance in his life, his whole world should know you fill a sacred spot. If he can only talk to you in private or over the phone, get in formation, put your middle fingers up, put them hands high, wave it in his face, tell him, boy, bye.

Point Five: Slayyy You Beautiful Queen

The bottom line: You are a fabulous Queen inside and out, and you do NOT need a relationship that makes you question that. Whether you’ve been hurt 20 times or never had your heart broken at all, you deserve the world. Never feel like you’re stuck in a situation or that you’re not good enough, but if you do refer to points 1-5.
Now, let’s all take a moment of silence for the beautiful masterpiece that Queen B has brought into this world: Lemonade.
