Move over Kim and Kanye, there’s a new spotlight couple in the family.
If you’re keeping up with the Kardashians, you’ve probably heard all the drama with Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna. For those of you who have better things to do, the drama started when Rob announced he was seeing Blac Chyna. There was instant drama because Blac Chyna has a child with Tyga, who is Rob’s sister, Kylie Jenner’s, boyfriend. Then Chyna and Kylie had a little feud going on, then the other sisters got involved, and it was a mess.Â
Shit really hit the fan when the family found out the couple was engaged, and they didn’t hear it from Rob. In fact, while he proposed to Chyna in front of her family, he didn’t let his family know about the engagement until after it hit social media. To make matters worse, soon after announcing their engagement, they made another announcement saying Blac Chyna was going to carry on the Kardashian name – she’s pregnant.
Now, this sounds like a very trashy soap opera. So of course E!, the network that’s home to Keeping Up with the Kardashians, quickly took advantage of the public appeal. Who doesn’t love watching a train wreck? Throw some romance in there and it’s practically like a ‘where are they now?’ Bachelor show.
The trailer for the show, Rob and Chyna, aired this past week, showing that it’s living up to what we all expected – lots of drama!
While it is clear the couple does love each other, and are very excited for this baby, the trailer also shows that their relationship is far from perfect. In one clip, Chyna is screaming over the phone accusing of Rob still texting other girls. This created a meme that went viral on the Internet:
Word of advice: don’t piss off Blac Chyna. Take notes, Kylie and Tyga.Â
The trailer did of course show sweet moments between the two – like how excited Rob is for the baby. After being asked if he’s ready to be a daddy, he responds, “That’s what I’ve always wanted.” The trailer also showed clips highlighting Rob’s weight loss journey as he comes back into the public eye.Â
If you’re looking for a good ‘guilty pleasure’ reality show, or if you’re just noisy, or if you regularly keep up with the Kardashians, Rob and Chyna might be the show for you. You may, however, be disappointed if you’re expecting it to be the next The Notebook.
Rob and Chyna is expected to air on E! on Sunday, September 11th.Â
