Sen. Elizabeth Warren Could be Hillary Clinton’s Running Mate

After just recently announcing her support for the presidential candidate, Sen. Elizabeth Warren may be a prime contender for the position of Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

Warren, a Democrat representing Massachusetts, stood beside Clinton in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Monday, bashing Donald Trump and effectively “auditioning” for the role of Vice President, according to CNN.

“When Donald says he’ll make America great, he means greater for rich guys just like Donald Trump. That’s who Donald Trump is,” Warren said at the rally, according to CNN, “And you have to watch out for him, because he’ll crush you into the dirt.”

“Hillary Clinton will be the next president because she knows what it takes to beat a thin-skinned bully who is driven by greed and hate,” Warren continued.

While many Democrats like Warren as a VP choice, according to ABC News, others argue that she isn’t the best running mate for Clinton, because she is not very well known outside of her home state.

The pair have not always gotten along, either, sometimes even seeing each other as direct competition, NBC reports, but despite their rocky past, it seems that Clinton has no intentions of shutting down rumors about working with Warren.

“You just saw why she is so terrific, so formidable. Because she tells it like it is,” Clinton stated, according to CNN. “I have to say, I do just love how she gets under Donald Trump’s skin.”
