1. Parente’s Bar and Restaurant
Of course Rente’s is on the top on our list. Just a quick walk or drive off campus, Rente’s is the perfect stop. Be sure to stop by for happy hour and half-off appetizers; cheese fries and a drink are the perfect combo! Tuesday nights you’ll find live performances from Bryant students, and Wednesday nights you’ll hear performances from the local celeb Mike Coletta.
2. Asia Grille/Yamato
We put these two places next on the list because who doesn’t love sharing a scorpion bowl with their friends as a celebration? If you’re looking for an adventurous type of night, we recommend Asia Grille on a Thursday night for karaoke.
3. Effins on Thursday Night
It’s pretty much a given that when you’re finally 21, you gotta hit up the ‘Fins and dance on the stage.
4. Chili’s
We’ve always loved Chili’s, even before we could legally drink. Who doesn’t love the 2 for $20 meal deal? Well, it just better with the 2 for $35 that includes two margaritas and a desert. Perfect for sharing and you can upgrade the margs for Patron margs for an extra free. We highly recommend trying it!
5. Thirsty Beaver
If you haven’t been to the Beav yet, you’re missing out. This local place recently just celebrated their one year anniversary in Smithfield, and we’re drooling over their menu. Everything is reasonably priced, especially for college students looking to ball on a budget and get a decent meal. Not to mention they’ve got a $5 Martini special on Thursday, which is also Karaoke night!
6. Condesa
Condesa is also new in town. It’s right down the street from Bryant, in the plaza next to B’z Burgers, Breakfast and Beyond. If you’re craving delicious, fresh Mexican food and margs, we highly recommend hitting up Condesa. They’ve got a great variety of drinks on their menu, and who doesn’t love Mexican food? Insider tip – unlimited chips and dips.
