The mere thought of Kanye West might be a little overwhelming, especially when it comes to his social media presence. But he is, first and foremost, a talented artist—who sometimes imparts great life advice. Let’s take a look at some of the wisdom Yeezus blesses us with in The Life of Pablo:
In debt? Well, in “Famous,” Kanye says, “I just copped a jet to fly over personal debt.” That’s the solution. Get a private jet, and literally get over your debt—or in our case, loans. Okay, probably a bad idea, but if I could soar over my problems in a private jet like Kanye, I would too.
In “Feedback,” Kanye is just trying to remind you that money and people should never change you. He raps, “Money never made me. Make me do something? Nah, can’t make me.” Always stay true to yourselves y’all.
In “I Love Kanye,” Kanye raps about himself. The old Kanye. Straight from the go Kanye. Chop up the soul Kanye. Set on his goals Kanye. The new Kanye. The bad mood Kanye. Even the always rude Kanye. You know, by the end of this song, you’ll think you are Kanye. But the real advice to pull from this song is: find someone who loves you like “Kanye loves Kanye.” And don’t settle for anything less.
In “Waves,” Kanye begins, “Step up in this b*tch like, I’m the one your b*tch like.” So, obviously I’m not going to step into Rock Hall like yeah, “I’m the one your b*tch likes,” but I do totally believe that everyone should be confident in themselves like Kanye is. Â
“No More Parties in L.A.” basically tells us what we should prioritize first. Our families and money. Kanye raps, “Get money, money, money, money, big, big money, money, money, money, and as far as real friends, tell all my cousins I love ’em.” At the end of the day, you’ll always have your family. They’re the ones who will always be there for you and keep it real. Kanye also seems to support getting money. Which technically means working at your degree, which will inevitably bring you money…hopefully big money. Kanye money.
So, maybe Kanye wouldn’t be the best life coach, but you’ve got to give it to him, he’s got some great ideas. Go out there and be the best Kanye you that you can be!
