8 Ways You Know You’re Dating a Music Major

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Waterloo chapter.

1.Your messages from them consist of really cheesy music memes and videos of their new repertoire.

2.You always have to deal with their stress the night before a performance or playing exam.

3.If they don’t reply for a few hours, they might be at rehearsal, or lessons, or a concert but, in all honesty, they’re most likely practicing.

4.Even after you go see them live and compliment them on how great it sounded, they won’t stop talking on the way home about how they messed up “that one note in measure 126”.

5.They’re probably going to lowkey judge you if you listen to anything after the Romantic era.

6.But you lowkey judge them right back when you hand them the aux cord and all they play is instrumental music.

7.They deal with your ignorance when you can’t tell the difference between Schumann and Schubert.

8.You know that at the end of the day it’s totally worth putting up with all of these things (and more) because you love them.
