Name: Alex Montesano
Year: Sophomore
Major: Physics
Hometown: Grand Island, NY
HC: How did you feel when you found out you were going to be Charity?
Alex: I was over the moon to find out I had been cast as Charity! This was my first lead, so I knew I had to work hard to live up to the demand of the role. However, I knew I had a lot in common with Charity from the moment I read the script.
HC: What kind of background do you have for this role?
Alex: I was always primarily a dancer. I was a competitive dancer in high school, and the only singing I really did was in choir and in a few summer musicals. I got really into theater in high school as well.
HC: What other theatre have you done at Carroll?
Alex: At Carroll, I have only been involved in the One Act plays, so this is my first main stage production.
HC: Any advice for someone who wants to get invovled in theatre?
Alex: Start where you’re comfortable! I wasn’t sure if I would have enough time to commit to a main stage play my first year here, so the One Acts were a perfect opportunity to get my theater fix with a manageable rehearsal schedule. With that being said, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Keith and the rest of the cast and crew on this production, and I definitely am looking forward to more shows for the future.
