Summer is soon and you just signed up for a 5k, but you still aren’t in the best shape that you want to be. What you really want is to get some new workout clothes to motivate yourself to go to the gym. However, after paying for rent, groceries, school and car insurance, you can’t afford a $60 sports bra AND new running shoes. Yet, you want to look your best! Here are some workout tops, bottoms, shoes and sports bras that are reliable and all under $20 (most under $15)!
Start with the most important article of clothing: the sports bra. Having support is so important for a good workout. Getting the right one will make you as comfortable as possible.
You can always just wear old t-shirts that you got for free during orientation week, but if you want to up your game and get something you can use outside, pick one of these options!
You don’t need to buy an expensive pair of leggings at lululemon to get a good workout. All these leggings are from cheap stores like Target and Forever21, but they are just as cute!
Shoes are especially expensive to buy. Target has a ton of sneakers for under $20. Go in stores for more options than online.
Don’t have time to go to the gym? Many people work out at home before bed or in the morning before going to class. You can do yoga or weight training on your own, and neither take up space! Some people also opt to run outside rather than a treadmill. Here is some inexpensive equipment to get fit with at home.
Bonus: Here are some apps that can help you keep track of your workouts. They can also alert you with reminders so you never have the “oh I forgot” excuse!
There are many stores that have inexpensive, quality workout clothes and gear. If you have a favorite brand, shop at their outlet stores and keep an eye out for sales. A new shirt or pair of shoes can really get you into to the workout mood.
