Have the seasons really changed if there’s no new Starbucks drink to try? After its 2010 release in Japan, the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino is making its debut in the United States to celebrate the arrival of Spring, according to Cosmopolitan.
According to Starbucks Newsroom, customers in Japan can get a new Sakura Blossom & Strawberry Latte or Frappuccino this year! Sakura means “cherry blossom” in Japanese, which fits perfectly with the flowery season that is Spring. Due to the lack of cherry blossom-flavored stuff in the U.S., the drink contains strawberries and cream, white chocolate syrup, and matcha green tea drizzle, according to Today, giving the drink a green and pink tint.
Much like the fleeting weather of Spring, this frappe is only available for a limited time, from March 15 to March 20, which marks the first official day of the new season. So, while we can only enjoy the Cherry Blossom Frappucino while it lasts (which unfortunately isn’t long), we can start to make the most of what will become our new pink flower addiction all season long!
