New York Fashion Week was held February 11-18th. Designers such as Michael Kors, DKNY, Vera Wang, Ralf Lauren, etc. participated in the weeklong event, and some of our favorite Midwest supermodels were featured in this glamorous occasion.

Models Karlie Kloss and Devon Windsor from St. Louis were casted for the event. Kansas City model Isabella Emmack was also found strutting down the runway. How awesome is it to see some of our hometown favorites being hired for NYFW?

Zoolander 2 also made a fun promotional runway experience which gave it a great boost in views and ratings for their movie which came out around that time. Supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were found sponsoring and modeling for the event.

Now that NYFW has come and gone, we can now check out what the biggest trends are in coming fashion.

1. Tie-Dye

Whether it’s in the classroom or bumming on the beach, tie-dye is making a fashion comeback with tunics, beach wraps and beyond.

2. Off the Shoulder

Giving the cold shoulder has never looked so good. This flattering feature is seen everywhere on the runway now, so better make sure it’s seen in your wardrobe as well.

3. Ruffled Blouses

Elegant, classic and timeless. Ruffles and puffy blouses are making a way into the fashion scene. Perfect for most any formal occasion and springtime events.

4. Fringe

Fringe remains to hold its popularity, so keep investing! Fun edged skirts, tops and bags make this trend widely popular.

5. Bed Time

Women’s lingerie styles are being brought into street style. Satin fabric and deep V-neck cuts are making an entrance and growing in popularity. These dreamy pieces serve great as comfort wear to formal evening attire.
