Campus Conversations: Lindsey Christensen

Lindsey is a junior here at the UW where she majors in Spanish and Psychology. She is an active member of Delta Gamma and just returned from studying abroad Cádiz, Spain.

What’s the best advice you can give to an incoming freshman? “Something I wish I would’ve done as a freshman would have been to get more involved in things on campus and I feel like my experience would’ve been better if I had been doing more things, meeting more people and finding new experiences.”

Where do you like to study on campus? “I don’t usually study on campus but if I do it’s in the Paccar Library.

What’s the best class you’ve taken? “I really liked Bio-Psych because I enjoyed my bio classes from high school and my psych classes from UW and it was a really great combination. It went more into the science of psychology rather than just the social aspect.”

What’s the best place to eat on the Ave? “Tea Republik and I also really like Café Solstice because they are both really good places to study and they have good drinks with a nice atmosphere.”

What was the best part of studying abroad? “I liked staying with a host family because I think it was one of the more unique parts of my program. And I think it really changed the outlook that I had on staying in Cádiz because it felt like I really had a home there and a true integration in the culture and the lifestyle of Spain. I really loved my host family.”Â
