Love her, hate her, everyone knows her. Whether it’s Taylor Swift’s killer red-carpet looks or her awesome dancing at award shows, she always seems to be a buzzing topic throughout the media. With the amount of No. 1 hits being in double digits, everyone has heard a Taylor Swift song at least once in their life. After releasing six albums and one Christmas album, she has recorded almost 100 songs. So thanks Taylor for having lyrics that we can scream at the top of our lungs to. With so many albums, it’s hard to pick out a favorite, so I chose six songs from each of her albums that are almost impossible not to sing along to.
You call me up again just to break me like a promise. – All Too Well, Red
This lyric comes right toward the end of the song and is the most intense part of the entire Red album. This song may be long but it’s worth the five minutes because you’ll love every second of it. Red had some good songs on it but All Too Well takes the trophy on the best song for this album.
Didn’t they tell us don’t rush into things? Didn’t you flash your green eyes at me? Didn’t you calm my fears with a Cheshire cat smile? – Wonderland, 1989
She always seems to be going for the green eye reference, which is fine green eyes are great, but she also makes a great Alice in Wonderland reference. Great doing on her part since the song is in fact called, Wonderland.
Cause for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world. – Long Live, Speak Now
When this song plays it brings back all the memories of High School and that young rebellious stage where we all thought ripped jeans were a fashion statement. Don’t you look at the high schoolers now and think, “Wow, do you think you’re cool.” Well guess what, they do, and long live those memories of being reckless in high school before we had to go to college and try to be responsible.
But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain and it’s 2 a.m. and I’m cursing your name, you’re so in love that you act insane and that’s the way I loved you – The Way I Loved You, Fearless
Fearless was one of better albums so it was hard to just pick one. However, this song is #goals. Sure, no one wants to fight but in a relationship but that lyric just makes it sound like you’re in some Nicholas Sparks movie. The movie is toward then end and you’re just going crazy in the rain being dramatic as he’s driving away because something between you and the super hot guy isn’t working out, but then he gets out of the car and runs and jumps in your arms, or something, and you live happily ever after. Yeah, that’s the storyline of this song.
Well you drive me crazy half the time; the other half I’m only trying to let you know that what I feel is true. – I’m Only Me When I’m With You, Beautiful Eyes EP
As soon as my sixth grade self heard this song, I knew it was one I would be jamming out to on a regular basis. Everyone gets driven a little crazy, and you let that show but your true feelings are what really matter. If it’s one of your good friends, significant other, or family member, this song is definitely #relatable.
I hate that stupid old pickup truck you never let me drive, you’re a redneck heartbreak who’s really bad at lying. – Picture to Burn, Taylor Swift
The first is always the best, and Swift’s self-titled album was the best way to launch her career. Picture to Burn wasn’t her first single, but this song spits fire (no pun intended). There’s something about a guys that makes them thinks girls are incapable of driving pick up trucks, and take my word for it, it isn’t that complicated. If they can do it, anyone can. So take that stupid picture you still have of your ex, crank some T-Swift and burn, baby, burn.
